An open letter to all Christians

Here's a thought on Grace...

The Christian faith is not a system of formulas. There is no magic spell, no rite or code for the bestowing of the Holy Spirit. It is not in any mans right, nor power, to claim absolute authoroty over such a gift. it is by Gods Grace alone that the Spirit is give, and we mere mortals can only do our best to discern where that is, and how we can make good of it.

The eternal Priesthood of Jesus Christ is just that, Eternal. Ours is fleeting, and by his Grace and personal touch in our hearts alone that gives us any amount of "Pastoral Authority". The dogmatic institution of "church" is comprised of the laws of God and man.

The universal Church of God relies on His word alone. Education aside, NO ONE can keep me from breaking bread with any one at all. Friend, or foe, repentant or not. I will continue to share my faith and glorify His Name until the day He puts me to rest.

Look who crawled out of the Wood Work!

In honor of things to come...

With renewed musings of resurrecting a beloved band, here's an E.P. I did not but a few years back.

A blast from the (drunken) past...

I wrote this in a squat when I was drunk back in 1998. This one goes out to B.O.M., Paulie Issue, And the entire N.Y.B.P. crew. Blue and green, you'll always be my boys and girls...

And so we begin...

Submitted for your edification, the "Shadow of the Light" E.P.
Selected songs written between 2003 and 2005, recorded in 2006. Though some of these tracks live on tape (and now a hard drive as well) in their original forms, I felt it more prudent to show the end results first. A good stepping stone towards what my music is now, with the exception of "Dead Girl Lover", which, no matter how many takes I did, could not get the vocals down right, so I gave up. Skip that one if you like.
Each of the other tracks, I think, show the broad spectrum from which most artists draw. Love, Doubt, Hope, and Movies, with a touch of Faith hidden in the sub-context.
Enjoy! Best played loud, in the car, and at night.
